долларовая бумажка. To skin - обмануть, содрать завышенную цену. Дословно skin - кожа, шкура, оболочка. Вспомните наши выражения: ободрать, содрать три шкуры. Похоже?Skinhead — лысый или бритоголовый (кожаная голова).
Отсюда это международное теперь слово и пошло. У наших скинхедов тоже головы такие. Правда у нас только начало скинхедского движения, а американцы пишут так: skinhead - "бритоголовый" - участник уличной банды хулиганов в 60-70 гг.Сейчас в Америке этого движения не заметно, банды другие, а участники тех движений, которые в стране называют militia, не обязательно бреют головы.. Но бритоголовые, конечно, есть. Это, например, популярно у активных гомосексуалистов среднего и пожилого возраста (bears, leather-levy). Словом skinhead называют и морских пехотинцев ( Marines) - новобранцев. Нашим скинхедам от всей этой компании пламенный привет.Skin a goat (to) — поблевать.
